Lessons from 32+ Years in Textiles

When I look back at my 32+ years in the nylon yarn and textile industry, one word defines the journey: transformation.

I began my career as a Graduate Engineer Trainee, eager to learn the fundamentals of manufacturing. Over the years, I worked my way up to Vice President, where I was responsible not just for operations, but also for strategy, people, and business growth. Every role came with new challenges — from tackling production bottlenecks to managing exports in a competitive global market.

One lesson stands out: success in textiles isn’t just about machines or numbers, but about people and adaptability. Markets change, technologies evolve, and customer expectations rise. Companies that stay rigid get left behind, while those willing to learn, adapt, and innovate find opportunities even in crises.

Today, as a consultant and researcher, I continue to apply these lessons. My mission is to help businesses build resilience, embrace innovation, and achieve sustainable growth.
